How to plan B2B event video content
Start with the buyer and the job each asset needs to do. Then plan the people, footage, and handoff around that goal.
-
Set a goal for each asset
Write down the audience, message, destination, and next action. A customer story for sales needs a different interview from a recap promoting the next event.
-
Choose the must-have deliverables
Separate must-haves from useful additions and experiments. Decide whether you need a recap, customer interviews, session recordings, short clips, or photography. Check that the schedule and crew can cover simultaneous moments.
-
Book people and confirm access
Invite priority guests early and hold specific interview slots. Confirm venue and recording rules, a quiet interview spot, the day-of contact, and who handles permissions and approvals.
-
Protect sound and useful answers
Test the microphone in the actual location and arrange an AV feed and backup for stage recordings. Help guests settle in, then ask for specific examples and follow the useful answer.
-
Send the story with the footage
Keep source files organized and verified before cards are reused. Give the editor the strongest moments, intended use, restrictions, review owner, and delivery requirements. Confirm what is usable before promising extra cuts.
-
Give every finished asset a home
Assign a channel, owner, publish date, and call to action. After the event, review what shipped and what marketing or sales used so the next plan improves.
